Its a tar road. The Borgi drives like a Porche for 500km. Not vey many photos as 2 cameras have failed. GPS battery only lasts 20 minutes in the heat and refuses to charge. Temperature is 40c but in direct sunlight with the car stopped its 60c. 
The wind is picking up and a sand storm is brewing. Visibilitz drops to 300m . The palm trees are also disappearing and giving way to Savanna. The key board is also not working! zzzzz. but I can 
In the dark the road suddenly ends near Atbara. We struggle to find the ferry in the dark, but do eventually. On the ferry a fight breaks out. Franks bag is nearly thrown overboard. But dont mess with Frank. On shore we buy some cokes. There is a big petrochem facility near by. We shake hands with a man with 11 fingers. He has an extra thumb!
We drive on but finding a camp is difficult. Every time we find a field to camp, Ninjas suddenly appear. We finally find somewhere near the nile and camp.
