Feedback Welcomeparty

Perfekt!

Haia Safari,

Babe

26th April 09 - Gods Window

Babe and Colin make the 383km journey down from Hoedspruit to Johanesburg in 4 hours. We manage to stop off at Gods window a 700m high cliff looking back towards Kruger park and Pilgrims rest, a former gold town.

But time is short and Afrika time is nearly up

SMS Message From Babe at Hoedspruit

Haia Safari...

22nd of April Borgi Clean up and off to the Santuary

Well some things are Borgi proof and other things are not.

It was time to clear the Borgi out and decide what was what was to be kept, what needed welded and what was scrap,

Without doubt the Zarges boxes were a good buy and most definetly Borgi proof. The tool kit was a little over stocked and you could probably drop the high jack. All three air pumps failed. The cheap electric pump melted the plastic inside the electric motor, the foot pump hose developed a split and failed and the good electric pump reed valve failed but can probably be repaired if you can find the spare valve plate.

And the Borgi - its fine - it just needs some welds and the jumping out of 2nd gear needs investigation

But Forget the cleaning - we are off for some fun in the Borgi.

21st April - Pizza and BarbQ - Hoedspruit

Its a late rise, but we take the Borgward out for a spin in the country. We have a great pizza at a restaurant owned by an ex-pilot.

The place is packed with flight memorabilia. This old cockpit panel was my favourites.

Then is back for some stakes Afrika style

SMS Message from the Dark Continent

Hi. In South Africa in Krueger Park! We were up at Pafuri near Mozambique
border. 22deg 25min 23.1" south, 31deg 14min 49". So far elephants and
Buffalo and Impala. No lions but the glasses are on. Camping further south
near Punda Maria. Another puncture has slowed us up. All tire compressors
have now failed terminally. Africa repairs are not holding. TUV are getting
a letter of complaint!

16th of April - Kyle Lake and then on to SA.

From Robert M. :- I would just like to take the opportunity on behalf of the people of Zimbabwe to welcome the Borgi - Your are most welcome

Kyle lake was the most beautiful camp site. We were the first visitors to stay in five years. There was no running water but the girl has been at the reception waiting for the Borgi to turn up.

15th of April 2009 - Great Zimbabwe monument and Kyle Lake

After breakfast we take the guided tour of the Great Zimbabwe monument. We all have our theories about who built this and why. The stone work is incredible.

In the afternoon we head of to Kyle lake to find somewhere to sleep for the night.

Girls and guns :)

SMS Message: Hi all ok. How is Werner and co? We are totally in frontier mode at the moment. Zimb is some place and everyone is great. Did not get far today saw the zimb monument. Now gone wild camping at lake kyle.
